Family Photoshoot

I'm still here :)  As I said a few blogs ago, I photographed some family friends just a few short weeks ago.  We had a great time - the weather mostly cooperated and even though we don't get the great fall colours like the East, we took advantage of the fall look.

Hope you like them!  Maybe I'll turn this into a business soon???? :)

Oh and isn't the family AWESOME!  Hopefully Charlie will like to get his pictures taken soon!!!! :)

A few more pictures of Charlie

Ok - just to give some context.  Charlie got some cute overalls for his birthday and I decided to put them on him this past weekend not thinking about what he would look like with a sweater over top and a hat on.....All different shades of blues.  I had to laugh when I saw this first picture and what he looked like!!!!

Seeing a real train up close!!!

So close!!!!  And a little noisy.

Hanging out in a field with his buddy's hat on ;)

No - I don't really want to look at you and smile Mommy!

And now we wait....

I'm officially 37 weeks, maybe more - and the waiting game has begun.  Since I delivered 2 weeks early with Charlie, I'm hopeful I will have an early, but healthy delivery this time round.  Problem is - I have no idea what to expect :)  Didn't think that would happen considering this is the second child!

I think I have been having symptoms and was even up half the night with what most would consider regular contractions.....However, they weren't strong and they eventually ended being regular.  Problem was it took 5 hours of me being awake in the night wondering if this was it!!!!!

And the funny part - I was telling Doug last night that we need to watch Amazing Race and eat grapes - cause that is when everything got rolling last time :)  Oh well - now I'm even more anxious to see what happens over the coming days!

In an effort to keep busy, I photographed some family friends this weekend and managed to get a few shots of Charlie.  I will also post some of the family shots too in the near future.  Here are a few pictures of Charlie when Alberta got snow last week.  We were out that morning playing in it.  It took a little convincing that he could get 'dirty'.  Hahaha!!!!

Mom - that's a very loud vehicle!!!!

Mommy - this is a fun seat - are you sure it is for the new baby???

A Little Farm Fun

I have been talking forever about Charlie getting to ride in Grandpa's combine.  While we were at the farm, we of course, got to ride in the combine.  Charlie was excited about it until he got close and saw how big it was and heard how loud it was.  He was scared to get in, but being the persistent Mom, I didn't let his crying stop him from getting in.  It probably took 20 minutes until he agreed to ride on Grandpa's lap, but I think he stayed in the combine for 2 hours - and he definitely loved it.

Dad was combining canola - something he didn't grow when I lived at home.....So I got to learn some news things too :)  We had a great time at the farm - maybe next year, Charlie will go down with Grandpa by himself????? :)

"Uhh - Grandpa, I didn't think you had green tractors??  What??  Its ok because it isn't a John Deer?  Whatever you say Grandpa!!!!"

Uhhh - Grandma - I'm not so sure about this combine thing anymore!

Driving with Grandpa - aka - in heaven!!!!!

Thanks for taking me to the farm Mommy - I love it!

Thankful for Family.....

I wanted to take a few family pictures with Charlie before Baby #2 comes along and thought that the farm would be a perfect setting.  One thing I forgot was that Charlie will not smile or look at the camera.  So I had to be happy with the casual pictures - which I think turned out pretty good.  I'm still hoping to take a few more preggo shots.....stay tuned to see if we actually get around to it!

Daddy - real hay bales!
Side note - Charlie is almost always a great road traveler.  He'll look outside the window and spot cows and hay bales and tractors.  He also is great a spotting airplanes once we are close to Calgary!

Another side note - saw the above picture on pinterest and tried to replicate it.  Our heights didn't match as well as the family on pinterest - bummer.  Oh well - we tried something new!!!!
