Homework and other activities
After school and a snack, I try to get Charlie to do a little work before he runs off to play....It was met with a fair bit of resistance to start with but it is becoming a routine and we are getting the work done!!!! Because Charlie is working, Moe also wants to work too. So we have a work book for him as well, and he should be more than ready for kindergarten! Oh and sometimes we also do some fun work on the iPad too!!!!

5 Months Old
Boomer turned 5 months this past week and man, time is flying by. He is rolling all the time from his back to belly and has just started rolling from his belly to his back. He is chewing like crazy and drooling too. Most significantly, he just started taking a bottle of formula. I stood in the formula aisle this past week and just stared and tried to figure out what to buy! He is still almost primarily nursing, but I am photographing a wedding in a few weeks so I had to figure out a second plan for most of the day! He drinks it down and for that I'm thankful!!!
Boomers sleep habits took a little hit this month - I think it was mostly because he would roll on his back, but we have been up in the night a bit due to him rolling over ;). BUT for the most part, he is still sleeping well!!!
Boomer is also still loving his play mat and has also been introduced to his exersaucer. He likes the toys and is trying to figure out how to grab things and also put them in his mouth. Boomer is such a joy and these milestones are coming way too quickly. And I have lots more pictures coming up!

Charlie and Boomer
Boomer is going through a really fun phase of following/wathcing his older brothers, and of course mom and dad. I can just see the next year now - Boomer will be watching his brothers like a hawk and of course, learning a lot from them too.....Not too sure what to think about that :)
I took Boomer up to his room for a few pictures and Charlie wanted in on the action, so of course I obliged. It didn't last long - but I captured a few pics. Charlie and Moe really do love Boomer and I know Boomer is going to LOVE his big brothers.
Oh - and if you look close, Charlie lost ANOTHER tooth. I knew it was loose, but not that loose. He took a bite of licorice and out it came. He was pretty excited about this one......and was pretty dissapointed when the tooth fairy didn't show that night....ooooppppsss. I guess she had too many homes to visit that night!!! ;) So that makes 6 teeth lost at 6 years, 5 months. Not bad :)

Out with Dad
We took Dad to see the ice at the bottom of our hill but it was a little snow covered this time..... I was carrying Boomer and I was out of breath by the time I got back to the top!!!! So not good ;):)

More exploring
A few weeks ago, I took the boys out with a few friends out for a walk behind our house again! The kids didn't complain once in 2 hours and I had fun taking pictures and learning a few things along the way.
Life is changing quickly in our household. Charlie was in swimming lessons for the first time - minus his first try at 3 years old which was a failure as he would NOT get in the pool with his class. These lessons were with his school and I went to watch him on his last day. He was having fun! He was excited to jump off the diving board for the first time and I was shocked to see him take off his life jacket. He can swim and go down waterslides at West Edmonton Mall without a life jacket, but somehow for me, the diving board was a bigger feat. He did great - and I'm sure would have gone again if he was allowed!!!
Moe is in skating lessons again this winter. He took on set of lessons last year and we hadn't taken him again. But I put him in and it is so fun to watch him get a little better each day. He still basically walks quickly on the ice but I do see more glides! And best of all, he is having fun ;)
