Auntie's house!!!

Charlie loves it when his Auntie's come to visit - but we returned the favour and visited Auntie Pookie!  She has a great condo in the city, but its a little small when it comes to spending the night :)  Still, we have fun.  Charlie got the second bedroom and mom and dad got the floor in the living room!!!!

We decided to have fun with Charlie before we left for the day.  Her ottoman could come in handy in the future :)  Just kidding!

Crawling - almost!!!!

A few nights ago during our night-time routine, Charlie crawled - and I'm serious!!!  He crawled putting one hand in front of him with his knees doing the same.  It was a slow, articulated crawl - much different than I was expecting......But really, I didn't really know what to expect :)  He hasn't done it much since, but he is definitely on the move. 

I wasn't in a hurry for him to crawl and be mobile - now he loves going for the fireplace and the electrical cords - which makes me say the word "no" more than I would like.  He has no idea what "no" means :)

Just Hanging!

What have we been doing this week - just hanging around!  We've gone for a few walks, but the past few days have been WINDY - so it been indoor time for us.

Oh -and a story.  We had a salesman try and sell us a home security system and kept asking Charlie to give him five.  Charlie just looked at him and was probably thinking - "silly man - what are YOU thinking.....I have no idea how to give five!!!"

Mother's Day

I used my first Mother's day to capture a few pictures of Charlie and his Momma!  It was cool and overcast (what else is new???), so we made it quick!!!!   Love you Charlie - I love being your Momma!!!!

Election Victory!

Charlie was introduced to politics a week ago at the Prime Minister's Election Results Rally.  We met up with some great friends from Ottawa and had fun watching the results come in!!!!  We'll never forget it - Most importantly - a Conservative majority, but also Charlie's first tv appearance :)  Some members of the media had been watching us all night and asked for an interview.  I ONLY agreed because it was an opportunity for Charlie to be on tv!!!!!  He was such a good boy - He didn't fuss at all even though he was up WAY past his bedtime.  Here's a few pics to remember the night!

Food - you love it or hate it!

Charlie's introduction to food has been a little slow.  We thought it was going to be a hit, but with all of his teeth coming in, he wasn't too interested in eating.  However, we are back on the bandwagon again and he seems to be enjoying food.

At Easter, he was introduced to pears.  His facial expressions are priceless and contrary to most of the pictures, he really did eat them up!!!!

Easter

We celebrated Easter and were able to capture Charlie with a few photo's!!!   It was a good weekend with family (first time in 11 years to be with my parents on Easter), but it was back to work for Doug on Monday.  No four day holiday for us!!!!

Auntie Pookie helped me hold my cake and made sure I didn't eat any!
