Fall Fun

Last Sunday, while Moe was fighting a fever and then a rash, Charlie got to have lots of fun with Auntie Pookie at the park.  A. Pookie lives in a great established neighborhood with lots of mature trees, so Charlie had tons of fun!

Happy 1st Birthday Moe!!!!

I can't believe a year has gone by.  I remember last Oct 28th so clearly and especially remember thinking that Moe was so tiny.  He isn't tiny anymore, but we are so thankful for his precious life in our family.  He has grown up too quickly, but he is still so much fun as he explores the world around him.

We love you Moe - and yes, so does your brother!!!!

A few more....

Tractor pictures have been very common on the blog this summer, but I had to post a few fall ones.  Charlie is definitely not your typical farm boy - check out his outfit!  I love his jacket!!!!  And Moe loves watching Charlie drive the tractor.  One time while we were out, every time Charlie pushed on the pedal and started moving, Moe would wave his arms and make noises!  Too cute!

And the rest are of Daddy telling Moe secrets.  Also too cute.  Don't you love the mohawk?!

Thanksgiving 2013

As I have mentioned, we've been sick, so thanksgiving was a little low key.  Auntie Pookie came out for the weekend, and Mom and Dad got a long awaited date afternoon/evening - and lucky me, finally a few new clothes.....they were definitely in order!

Sunday we cooked our usual Thanksgiving meal - sooooo delicious!  I couldn't resist breaking out the camera for a few pictures.  Charlie doesn't look like himself in a few, and of course, I couldn't get one of all three of my men smiling at me!!!  We had a great weekend and enjoyed some family time!!!

SICK!

Ok - I know it gets old, I don't like to complain, and I definitely don't enjoy having sick kids, but we have entered week 5 of having sickness issues in our house.  CRAZY!  We have been a fairly healthy household - that was until Charlie started pre-school!  Anyway - Charlie had 2 colds spanning three weeks, Doug and I both had one good cold that lasted a few weeks, and poor, poor Moe....He has had the toughest time.

Two back to back colds - and once his nose finally started to clear, he was hit with a fairly high fever last week that lasted 4 days.  There weren't any other issues (no ear ache, upset tummy, etc), but the poor boy was down and out.  I have had more snuggles and cuddle time in one week than I probably have had in over 3 months -  which I have treasured!  And to top it off, he was hit by a full on rash on Sunday.  The rash is still there and he is still having some congestion issues, so this boy is still on the mend.  I'm hoping that by his 1st BIRTHDAY next week, he will be back to his old self - because I really miss my smiley boy!

All through this, Moe has slept through the night, with one exception, and has had fairly good naps, so I'm very thankful.  I realize that we could be up all night with him, but he did what Mommy told him to do, and slept very well!

So if you wonder what we have been up to these past few weeks, not much!!!  Mending colds, going to the playground (it has been so nice!), and playing in the house.

Here are a few pics of Moe's first few crawls, and Charlie sleeping in Mom and Dad's bed.  He has started to have quiet time in his room, but roughly 50% of the time, he will end up sleeping.  I found Charlie fast asleep in our bed and I was thankful I got my camera and risked waking him up.

A few more farm shots

These pictures don't really need a story.  I captured a few more before we left the farm - and here they are!

Someone by the name of Moe was sick again so all he got to do was drive to and from the field and hang out in the truck with dad.......
