A few more pictures!

Our Mac is up and running, so I have been re-learning photoshop.....which is somewhat difficult to do when I had just installed a better version before we moved (I never really figured out how to use it in the first place!)  BUT - here are a few pictures to keep you entertained before I post some from Easter!

Sitting

Since we've moved, Charlie has been able to sit, sit, and sit some more!  He went from sitting with assistance while we were at the hotel to sitting unassisted almost immediately.  He is reaching for toys and even tried to get in the crawling position a few days ago (which gave him an owie on his gum......sad!)

He's getting so strong and is such a boy.  He loves to chew, likes to pull on Momma's hair, and flings his toys back and forth as fast as he can.

Momma - why are you always taking pictures of me?

I LOVE the washer and dryer

Ok - so these may just be some of my most favorite pictures!  Especially the middle one.  I was doing laundry a few days ago and decided that Charlie would probably like to watch.  Did he ever!  He just sat there and watched both the washer and dryer spin round and round.  It was sooooo cute!!!!  BUT - I got even smarter......  I put him in the jolly jumper in the door frame that you can see in the pictures.  So, not only did he get to jump away, he also watched the dryer spin.  I think this form of entertainment will come in very handy during the next few months!!!!

My crib - FINALLY!

That's right - Charlie is now sleeping in his crib - six and a half months later!!!!  We didn't seem to have any problems adjusting to the crib - and other than night time, he is sleeping better during the day with more consistent napping (actually, he's always been a great sleeper during the day.....it is just more predictable now).  He is sleeping 5-7 hour stretches at night....which is not predictable yet :(  Just when I think it maybe is - he goes and changes it on me!!!

First time in the high chair

Sooooo - we've moved into our house!!!!  We are slowly getting unpacked and organized - slowly is the key word.  I packed up our house in Ottawa in basically five days and my guess is that it will take us five weeks to feel completely organized. 

Anyway - We've broke out the high chair!!  Charlie loves sitting in it when we are eating dinner and he is slowly starting to eat food too.  We're hoping that establishing a good high chair routine will set us up for good table manners in the future.  Is it wishful thinking?

Tongues and bottles(?)

Charlie discovered that he can stick out his tongue and suck on it.  Sooooo - he often has his tongue sticking out of his mouth.  I have to admit its pretty cute!!!

And to bottles - Charlie never took a soother and even though it looks like he is taking the bottle, he only chews on it.  We've had more success with a sippy cup - need to get a picture of that!!!!

One Cool Pop!

I'm the biggest fan of onzies that say something cute.  I have a couple mommy ones, auntie ones.....so when I saw a daddy one at the mall last weekend, I snapped one up right away!  Charlie surprised Daddy with it a few days later.  I LOVE bright colours!

Snow!

April has arrived, but with it, a nice snowstorm to remind us that we live in the great, white north!  I was at my parent's house, so Charlie got to watch Grandpa blow the snow off the driveway.  We're hoping we won't see much more of the white stuff this year.

Happy Half Birthday!

September 27th changed our lives forever.  Charlie entered into this world fairly quickly much to our surprise.  At two weeks early, he weighed 7 pounds, eight ounces, and our precious little boy that we had prayed and 'patiently' waited for had finally arrived.  We had barely made it to Calgary and were still living at my parent's house....not exactly where I pictured me to be when I went into labour.  But everyone survived (Grandma M included) and Baby Charlie changed our hearts and priorities for the rest of our life.

We love you so much!  And you are growing up much too fast - try to slow down, ok??

Working Hard

We like to pretend that Charlie is helping us with our work, but really, he just likes looking at the bright, colourful screen of our laptop.  Can't wait to open up our Mac computer and start working off of it!!!
